Obituary of Ellen Stewart

Fighting for every last breath to be with her family for as long as possible, Ellen Elizabeth Stewart (nee Arnott) in her 66th year lost her valiant struggle against metastatic breast cancer. She is survived by her husband Gordon, son Jason (Jenn), daughters Sarah and Erin (Mike), and her sister Jane (Neil). She left five wonderful grandchildren Brody, Emma, Logan, Claire and Binyam. Ellen is predeceased by her father Fred, mother Lorraine and her brother Tom (Arlene). Ellen was a graduate of Beal Art and gave up a successful career as a commercial artist to be a stay at home Mom to raise her children. After her children were grown, Ellen found the job of her life at Fabricland on Wonderland Road. She loved to work there in the friendly creative environment with staff and customers. The family wish to thank the C.C.A.C., Dr. Parent and the staff of the V.O.N. for their help and dedication that allowed Ellen to pass away at home with dignity and without pain surrounded by her family that was her life. Her children requested that Ellen be cremated in her first Run for the Cure t-shirt from 2005 so she could burn the s**t out of cancer. The memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, December 30th, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ellen are asked to consider the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
