Obituary of Sandra Kennedy
It is with profound sadness that Sandi's family share her passing on the morning of Thursday, August 6, 2020, at St. Joseph's Hospice in London, Ontario, at the age of 57, after a courageous 16-year battle with ovarian cancer. Sandi will be forever loved and always missed by her daughter Danielle; her precious grandchildren Zoey, Alex and Erin; and her granddog Cheeto. Much loved daughter of Nancy and Frank Howell-Harries (late James Kennedy, 2015). Dearest sister of Dawna Halls & her husband Brad, Christopher & his wife Vicki Howell-Harries, all of London, and Michael Kennedy, of Pennsylvania. Predeceased by brother James Kennedy (2018), special aunt Jeanette McQuillan, and her beloved grandparents George and Winnifred Morris. One of a kind aunt to Matthew and Madison Halls. Special cousin to Teri Windling and lifelong friend of Heather Bradford. Sandi was an intelligent, generous, quick-witted, no-nonsense kind of gal who preferred the positive side to everything. First and foremost, she was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Sandi wholeheartedly loved her daughter and best friend Danielle. She cherished her role as a Nana to her three wonderful grandchildren; her world revolved around them. In keeping with her dislike of fanfare there will be no visitation. A private family celebration will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Our heartfelt thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice (especially Hope & Rachel) and to Dr. Akira Sugimoto for his care and compassion, but mostly because, in Sandi's words, "he gets me and lets me make my own decisions". Our precious "Sam", what will we do without you? Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Sandi are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospice, London.
