Obituary of Peter Douglas Macdonald

On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, Peter Douglas Macdonald passed away peacefully in his sleep at Victoria Hospital, after a 2 year journey with cancer. Peter will be forever loved by his wife Roma, son Rob and daughters Rebecca (Sam) and Jennifer, and grandchildren Jackson, Riley, Conall, Harry and Flora. Dear brother to Keith, Christine, Colin and Bruce. Peter graduated from Engineering at Western University, followed by a 35 year career as a Mechanical Engineer with 3M. As a faithful member of the Salvation Army, Peter was involved in his community, volunteering his time to help within the church, helping complete tax forms for the people at the mission, and supporting the Kettle campaigns each holiday season. Peter will be remembered for his love of hockey, spending time outdoors and sharing his home and his heart with his family. He was a kicka** Grandad! A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at THE SALVATION ARMY CITADEL, 555 Springbank Drive, followed by a reception and time to visit with family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the London Citadel Salvation Army’s "Operation Mobilizing Hope" would be appreciated.
