He took an early retirement in 1992, after 32 years with Northern Telecom, and came home to London. He and his wife Carol enjoyed retirement by travelling often. They both especially loved cruises in warm climates in the winters. Also, both participated in lawn bowling for many years with Thistle Lawn Bowling Club until Gord’s diagnosis in 2012. A private service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London with private interment at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gord are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex. Having a love of nature, Gord’s personal wish would be to plant a tree!
“I can no longer see you with my eyes, touch you with my hands, but I will feel you in my heart forever.”
