Obituary of David Johnson

Peacefully at Parkwood Institute – Veterans Care, on Sunday, January 5, 2020, in his 102nd year. Survived by his beloved wife Kathleen ‘Kay’ of almost 80 years. Loving father of Ken (Dianne) Johnson and Scott (Sharon) Johnson. Proud grandfather of Darrell (Marie), Sue (Don), Brandon and Tracey (Adam). Dear great-grandfather of Keegan, Jared, Mathew, Liane, Natalie, Aubrey, Emelynn, Leila and Maren. Predeceased by brothers Earl and Ken; and sisters Muriel and Margaret. David was a WWII Royal Canadian Navy veteran, and was a Signalman on the Corvette Fleet based out of Halifax. After the war, he was a professional mechanical engineer at Nortel in London for 23 years. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Borrie, staff and volunteers at 2 Perth Parkwood Institute for ten years of compassionate care. Cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will occur at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of David are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.
