Obituary of William Henry Hedley

HEDLEY, William (Bill) Henry – Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, on Sunday, July 17th, 2011, William “Bill” Henry Hedley, of London, in his 87th year. Husband of the late Ruth (1996). Beloved father of Dan and his wife Cathy, Jo-Ann Harkness, David and his wife Karen and Lori and her husband Rod Marks. Loving Grandpa of Lindsay and Scott, Colleen and Bernadette and Kelly, and Great Grandpa of Samantha. Dear brother of Edna Clemance. Also survived by good friend Betty McAlpine. Predeceased by son Terry, sister Doris Pedden and brother Don Hedley. Bill served in WWII in the R.C.A.F. The family would like to thank Veterans Canada for all their help and assistance. Bill also had a love for fishing and flying. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George’s Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, on Thursday, July 21st, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with family interment at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bill are asked to consider the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of London.
