Obituary of Jane Ross Vrancken
With courage and grace, our Jane, in her 54th year, passed into her next adventure, from St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, on Monday, September 30th, 2019, with family by her side. Jane stoically navigated a six-month fight with pancreatic cancer. She was the most amazing Mum to Caelen, Ethan, Rowan and CoraJane, and cherished wife to Eric. Beloved daughter of the late Cora Jane Waterman, and Peter (Patsy) Ross. Precious big sister to Dale (Ruud), Charles (Natasha), Rebecca (Phil) and Cindy (Norm). Sister-in-law to Danika (Anthony), Karine (the late Bill), and Anik (Philip). Loving aunt to Jasper and Shae, Sienna and Clemmie, Harvey and Toby, Toni and Kate, Kayla, Eric and Zac, Olivia, Sam, Grace and Ella, Camden, Lily and Tess. Jane was born and raised in England and emigrated to Canada in 1982. A graduate of Wilfred Laurier University in biology (botany) and chemistry, Jane went on to study in Frankfurt, Germany, mastering the language and working in the hotel industry. Upon returning to Canada, Jane returned to school and became a Registered Massage Therapist, running her own business in Strathroy, before moving to Montreal to begin her most important work of all, being a Mum. With two sets of twins, Jane’s parenting, limitless energy, dedication and passion to motherhood was an inspiration to us all. Jane later recertified as a RMT, became a specialist in Lymphatic Drainage and once again started her own business in London, until her diagnoses in March of this year. As a botanist, Jane loved plants, flowers (except carnations) and trees. She had an enthusiasm for life that surpassed the norm; life was for living, lots of adventures awaiting! An indelible mark is left on all of our hearts. Sincere thanks to Dr. Hertzman and Saint Elizabeth Palliative Care Team, Grace Bradish and St. Joseph’s Hospice for their guidance and respectful, dignified care. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. Donations may be made to LHSC - Pancreatic Cancer Research or St. Joseph’s Hospice. Love is all we really need... and a cure! See you on the other side Jane. A tree will be planted in Jane’s memory.
