Obituary of Dr. Rajendra Harricharan

Suddenly, on Sunday, April 7, 2019, in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of the late Indira (2012). Loving father of daughters Sharada, Monisha and Sherain. Cherished son of Sabita. Dear brother of Narendra, Nadira and Sarojini. True friend to many. Raj was a dedicated Psychiatrist at LHSC for over 25 years. His role as a physician and academic went beyond the tremendous care he provided for his patients. He believed in empowering those who surrounded him, including his patients and many students and residents under his mentorship over the years. Raj touched the lives of many people in the London and Guyanese communities with his infectious smile, loving demeanor, and genuine goodness. His open heart and welcoming grace will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues. A visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 5:00 ~ 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at MOUNT PLEASANT CEMETERY CHAPEL, 303 Riverside Drive, London, on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Raj are asked to consider the Prevention & Early Intervention Program for Psychoses (PEPP) at L.H.S.C.
