Obituary of Audrey Winn Pooler Ruskin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Audrey Winn Pooler Ruskin on Monday, January 7, 2019, at the age of 86. Audrey lived and raised her family in Crystal Beach, Ontario, and moved to London in 1996 to live with her daughter and family. She will be missed and eternally loved by her children Carla (Adam) Kmety, Gary (Heather) Pooler, Dan (Cindy) Pooler, Leslie (Mark) Linnell, and Lisa (Jeff) Fischer, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 step-children and their families, including Carolyn Ruskin. Predeceased by son Billy (1976), and husbands Roy Pooler (1967) and Bernard Ruskin (1989). The family would like to thank Dr. Cathy Faulds for her exceptional care over many years, and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood, who treated Audrey with such kindness. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., where a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. An additional family celebration will be held at a later date in Fort Erie, Ontario. Audrey lived by example through her faith, kindness, selflessness and dedication to her family. She was our beacon of strength and source of unconditional love to us all. In lieu of flowers, please consider an act of kindness in Audrey’s memory.
