Obituary of Leone Cameron

We lost our mom, grandma, and great-grandma on Monday, November 5. A self-described "tough old bird", Mom was an inspiration and an example to us all. She embodied self-reliance, respect and determination. Following the loss of the love of her life nearly 50 years ago, she dedicated herself to ensuring that her family had the support they needed to thrive. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all. Mom was an avid bridge player and enjoyed spending time with her many bridge friends. She is survived by sons Rod (Barb), Doug (Alanna) and daughter Joanne (Doug); grandchildren Adam (Anna), Joel, Nathan (Kristy), Natasha (Brock), James, Lyndsay (Chris), and Mark (Brittany); great-grandchildren Holly, Dameon, Emma, Landon, Cameron, Isla, and Sloane. She is also survived by her sister Hazel Cooper and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James A Cameron (1969), her sister Eileen, brothers Morley, Carroll, and Claude and her sister-in-law Zora Coulter. Also predeceased by her husband George Skelly (2003). An informal celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, from 2 PM to 4:30 PM. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Chatham Kent Hospice (www.chathamkenthospice.com) or a charity of your choice.
