Obituary of Nidia del Carmen Juarez de Martinez

Passed away peacefully after her battle with cancer, on September 14, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Nidia was the daughter of Juan Francisco Juarez Moralez and Ceferina Carmen Gutierrez de Juarez. She was born on November 15, 1952 in Managua, Nicaragua, the fifth of seven children. Nidia is survived by her devoted children: Maria Martinez-Harild (Braad), Nidia Martinez (Devon), Jose Martinez (Alicia) and her beloved granddaughter Valentina Harild. She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and many friends. Nidia worked tirelessly as both a PSW and DSW, vocations to which she was extremely devoted. Nidia’s devotion to her work was surpassed only by her love of her family. She was well-known and loved within the St. Francis - St. Martin Catholic Church community where she took part in prayer groups and volunteered her time assisting with church activities and celebrations. Nidia’s family wish to extend their sincere thanks to the numerous friends who came to visit Nidia as well as the staff at LHN, Victoria Hospital and Parkwood Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. FRANCIS-ST. MARTIN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 46 Cathcart Street, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Nidia are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.
