Obituary of Stanley Maxim 'Max' Boyachek

BOYACHEK, Stanley Maxim “Max” 1936-2018 On Thursday, September 6th, 2018, Max went to be with his Lord and Saviour, whom he loved and served. He is survived by his beloved wife and sweetheart, Patricia Anne (Doherty) of 52 years. They were blessed with six children and 15 grandchildren: Joy (Wallace) McGuire and Jessica; Trish Stringer (Graham) and Steven, Nathan and Ryan; John Boyachek (Sandy) and Benjamin, Joshua and Nelena; Jim Boyachek (Jaime) and Juliana, John and Jaysa; Janet Hallam (Chris) and Emily; Joe Boyachek (Heather) and Leila, Chandler, Lex and Eva. Max is survived by his brothers: Ron Boyd (Lil), Ted Boyachek (Lydia), Edward Boyachek (Isabelle), and Alfred Boyachek. He is predeceased by his parents, Peter (1988) and Jean (2004) Boyachek and sister-in-law Linda Boyachek (2016). He was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Max was born and raised in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba and graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba. He was employed with Northern Telecom for 34 years and part of the Lamko Tool and Mold family for over 22 years. Max was a faithful member of WestPark Church for over 35 years, where he served in many ways with enthusiasm and joy. His passions in life were farming, serving on numerous boards, deep theology discussions, classical music, performing magic shows for any kid that would watch, and running. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids, playing, running, building and tiring them out before he was tired. Max lived his faith in a contagious way every day and loved anyone that crossed his path. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. A memorial service to celebrate Max’s life will be held at WESTPARK CHURCH, 955 Gainsborough Road, London on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to WestPark Church, Heritage College and Seminary or LHSF – Cancer Program (Bladder Cancer Research).
