Obituary of Elizabeth "Beth" Bailey (nee Kenny)

On March 25, 2018, surrounded by her family, Beth passed away at the age of 66, after a four month battle with cancer. A Mom first and foremost, she will be forever missed and loved by her daughters Tara (Sam) and Carling (Chris). Second only to being a mother, Beth's happiest role was that of Mimi to her 2 grandchildren, Brennan and Lucy Elizabeth, the lights of her life. "Bethio" will be forever missed by her mother Shirley. The eldest of 5 children, Beth's loss will be felt always by her siblings Brenda, Raymond (Polly), Sharen (Brian), and Judi (Marlon). Beth had a selfless spirit and always put others before herself. She was a loving friend to so many, a wonderful aunt & great aunt, a caregiver, a listener, and dog owner. Her dog and most trusted companion Sassi will miss her immensely. A lover of the outdoors, of walking, the lake, blueberry picking, baking, her life was grounded in her deep and unshakeable belief in the love of Jesus Christ. Beth is home now with her Saviour and Messiah. "But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands; Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love." Psalm 31:14-16 A very special thank you to all the staff on the 7th floor at University Hospital, the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospital, and the amazing staff that made her last weeks comfortable at St. Joseph's Hospice, all in London, Ontario. Beth's celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at TRINITY COMMUNITY CHURCH, 570 Gainsborough Road, London, Ontario. A visitation is planned for 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Joseph's Hospice, London.
