William 'Bill' Kinchlea

Obituary of William 'Bill' Dennis Kinchlea

Surrounded by his family, Bill passed on peacefully in his home, in the comfort of his Lord, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the age of 60. Bill’s family was big. He loved his immediate family: his wife, Elizabeth Mary; his children, William (Christina), Robert and Natalie; and his grandchildren, Daniel and Gwendolen. Bill loved his extended family: his siblings, Holly Kinchlea-Brown (Wes), Dave (Sue), Rich and Brad Turner (Lisa); his mother, Marilyn Turner (Ross); step-mother, Morag; his uncle, Kerry (Gillian); and cousins, Lindsay and Kim. He loved all his nieces and nephews: Kathleen (Lee), Sagan (Josh), Keegan, Kareen (Brian), Avery, Kirsten, Sarah, Darin, Benny, Liam and Aeryc. Bill loved his second family too: Wendy and Dave Dupuis, and their children, Jesse (Be), Jenny (Sotiris) and Patrick. Bill’s life touched so many people and he was known by many names. To his Trinity Church family, he was Uncle Bill; to his airshow family, he was Mother Goose. He worked for many years at Metro, where he formed another family. Bill worked in the community around him: he ran the “Food for Thought” program at Wilfred Jury Public School for more than 20 years, worked as an elder in his church for more than 20 years, with a focus on helping people at home and abroad. He actively supported many charities. Bill’s love of nature was apparent. His photography was a lifelong passion, and his friends will not be able to think of him without remembering his kayaks and campfires. And, of course, OK! BLUE JAYS! LET’S. PLAY. BALL. A Celebration of Life will be held at TRINITY COMMUNITY CHURCH – PRESBYTERIAN, 570 Gainsborough Road, London on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 12:30 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bill are asked to consider the Children’s Health Foundation (http://chfou.convio.net/goto/daniel).
