Obituary of Reverend Canon Douglas Llewellyn Parker

The Reverend Canon Douglas Llewellyn Parker in his 92nd year, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Victoria Hospital, in London, Ontario, Monday, March 12, 2018. Doug was an Anglican priest since 1964 and served in several parishes and positions with the Diocese of Huron during his tenure. Prior to entering the priesthood, he worked on the CNR and had fond memories of his experiences while on the railroad. Predeceased by his parents, Bert and Alice, and survived by his wife, Ena, and their four sons, Steven (Eileen), Michael (Linda), David (Vlajka) and Timothy. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Greg (Lori), Ryan (Rianne), Edward (Rosaria), Michelle (George), Alicia (Wyatt), Patricia (Mike), David (Natasha), Rebecca, Natasa (Serj), Wesley and Garrett and great-grandchildren, Emily, Nathan, Hailey, Hayden, Leah, Owen, Elissa, Mila, Dylan, Ophelia and Aleksandar. He is also survived by his brother, The Reverend Canon Harvey Parker (Dorothy), sister-in-law Marj Wilson (Bruce - deceased), brother-in-law Norm Ball (June), sister-in-law Jessie Butson (deceased) and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the medical team on D600 at Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion in Doug’s final journey. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. at ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL, 472 Richmond Street, London, ON, N6A 3E6, on Thursday, March 15, 2018, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in Doug’s memory.
