Obituary of James Dougald 'Mr. Mac' McKellar

Passed away peacefully at home in his wife’s arms, on Sunday, January 7th, 2018, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Mary Louisa for 59 years. Incredible father of Douglas Scott McKellar (Jo-Anne) and Donald Mark McKellar (Martina). Proud grandfather of Megan, Ian, Kiera and Harrison. Jim taught with the London Board of Education at Hillcrest Public School. After his retirement he went on to work part-time for Bob Martin’s Golf. Husband, father, grandfather, teacher, friend, neighbour, hockey coach and Knights season ticket holder. An “all around great guy.” Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London where the memorial service will be conducted on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jim are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
