Obituary of Mary 'Irene', RN (retired) MacMillan

With profound sadness, the family of Irene MacMillan announces her peaceful passing in London, Ontario on Friday, January 5th, 2018. Beloved wife of “Don” MacMillan. Loving mother of Eric MacMillan, Shari Ferguson, Alison Caldwell (Duncan) and Kirk MacMillan. Dearest grandmother of Julia and Alexi. Survived by her siblings: Evelyn (the late Gary), Bill (Faye), Ruth (Tom), Susan and Brian (Linda). Predeceased by siblings Gordon, Kenny, Betty, Carolyn and Keith. Irene graduated from Civic Hospital in 1972 and started her career there in the Cardiac Care Unit. She then worked the remainder of her career as an Emergency Room Nurse at Riverside Hospital. First and foremost, Irene loved her husband and family but also enjoyed gardening, volunteering, and winter sports including skating on the Rideau Canal. The family wishes to thank the staff at Willow Ridge at the McCormick Home in London for their care and compassion.
