Obituary of Harry Bernard Morris

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Bernard Morris in his 87th year. Harry passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London on Sunday, December 17th, 2017 with his family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Denise Morris for 56 years. Cherished father of Maureen Morris, Susan Gibbins, and Melanie Szaban. Special father-in-law of Tom Delaney, Dave Gibbins, and Chris Szaban. Extremely proud Grandpa of Erin, Matthew, Meaghan, Katherine, Virginia, James, Ryan, Lukas, and Ellie. Predeceased by his sisters Eileen Vrielink and Patricia Sopp. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Harry was a true gentleman. He was kind, generous, thoughtful and always interested in others. His optimism and good sense of humour remained to the end. Harry deeply loved his family and taught us all the meaning of family, unconditional love and support. A puller of teeth, a storyteller, a teacher of reading, bike riding and love of music to his grandchildren. A lifelong and dedicated employee and retiree of 3M Canada. Harry’s family appreciates the extraordinary care given by Doctor Mawji and his team. Special thanks to the compassionate health care professionals on the 4th, 9th and 10th floors of University Hospital as well as the caring staff at Chartwell Riverside. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
