Obituary of Robert Joseph Jez

Robert Joseph Jez June 16, 1978 – November 1, 2017 It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Bob Jez, who passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017, at the age of 39. Bob was a loving father of three beautiful children, a caring husband, a loyal friend, an inspiring teacher, a dedicated football coach and an unwavering Chicago Bears fan. Bob is survived by his wife, Emily; his children, Danielle, Matthew and Geneviève; his mother, Janina (Jerry) Hunter; his sisters, Teresa Jez and Anna (Cam) Newell; and his nephews, Kian and Connor Newell. He is also survived by his in-laws and other beloved aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada and Poland. He will be sadly missed by his four-legged constant companion Rosie. Bob’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice and the London Regional Cancer Program, and especially to Dr. Miranda Sheppard. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at WESLEY-KNOX UNITED CHURCH, 91 Askin Street, London on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Dorchester Union Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider the Jez Children Educational Trust Fund. Donations can be made at the visitation or funeral service. Bob will be remembered for his humour, generosity, kindness, loyalty, and dedication to his family. He will be dearly missed.
