Obituary of Keith Osterberg

September 20, 1946 – August 20, 2017 Peacefully, at Parkwood Institute on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at the age of 70. Dearly loved by his wife Colleen Osterberg (née Hinnegan). Much loved father of Jenna Osterberg (Somnang), Shawn (Karen) Osterberg and Colin (Lisa) Osterberg. Cherished grandfather of Anna and John Osterberg; step-grandfather of James Hadley and Adam Bell. Survived by his brothers Carl (Lynne) Osterberg and Bill (Caroline) Osterberg; brothers-in-law Fred (Brenda) Hinnegan, Perry (Karen) Hinnegan, Allan (Paula) Hinnegan, Jim (Irene) Sawyer, John (Rose Mary) Sawyer and Roger Schryer; sisters-in-law Carol Kelly, Patsy (Marty) Becktold and Helen (Nick) Valcaniante. Missed by his dog, Marcus. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Don Hinnegan; brothers Reg and Charlie Osterberg; sister Sandra Schryer; sister-in-law Mary Beth Lachine; and dog, Patches. Keith spent his career working as a manager for the Royal Bank of Canada. He enjoyed fundraising and volunteering at Children’s Hospital, Santa’s Toys for Christmas, Scouts and Ventures, and being a Horse Show Dad. A Christian man, remembered for his sense of humour, generosity and always putting his family first. The memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon, with visitation two hours prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Keith are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospice, London or Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
