Obituary of Raymond Dorans

Peacefully at home, on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017, Raymond Dorans of London, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Carmela Longo. Devoted step-father of Mike Fairfield, and cherished father of Karen Marques (Johnny), and Mandy Dorans. Proud grandfather of Tyler Howie, Sydney Marques, and Shay-Lee Marques. Dear brother of Linda Malton. Predeceased by his parents Annie and Jimmy Dorans, and his brother Al Dorans. Fondly remembered by his in-laws and “outlaws”, many nieces and nephews, and cherished friends on and off the golf course. “Keep your head down”! Ray was a teacher and administrator for the Thames Valley Board of Education for 36 years. He will be remembered for his passion for learning and physical activities. Please gather with us on the “19th” hole, wearing golf attire, for the visitation to be held on Friday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, as well as the Celebration of Ray’s Life on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are graciously declined but those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ray are asked to consider the Boys and Girls Club of London.
