Obituary of James Marvin Scott

Peacefully, surrounded by family, at University Hospital on Sunday, June 25, 2017, James Marvin Scott, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Marguerite (Margo) Scott. Dear father of Douglas (Anna) Scott and Elizabeth (Richard) Fletcher. Cherished “Papa” of five grandchildren. Dear stepfather of Terry and Warren Toll and their families. Born into a family of twelve near King City, he is survived by seven of his brothers and sisters. Jim enjoyed a distinguished career as VP of Finance with 3M Canada, based in London, Ontario. In addition, he, along with his brothers, operated an extensive farming enterprise in the Whalen Corners area. He and Margo were avid world-wide travelers visiting places of interest, wintering in Puerto Rico and creating wonderful memories. A service honouring Jim’s life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jim are asked to consider the Canadian Diabetes Association.
