Obituary of Annette Jean Mainstone

JANUARY 19th 1930 – MAY 3rd 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing at home of Annette Jean Mainstone (Hackett) in her 88th year. Loving wife and best friend to her husband of 69 years, Dennis. Annette will be deeply missed by her children, Warren, Pam Matheson (Sterling) and Wendy Wallace (Jim). Cherished grandmother of Steve Mainstone (Renee), Rob Mainstone (Niki), Traci Mainstone, Trisha Matheson (Jay), Cindy Matheson (Brad), Quincy Wallace, Georganne Wallace and Austin Wallace. Great grandmother of Guerin, Ashlyn, Robyn, Lauryn, Ava, Shayla and Katherine. Survived by one brother Bob Hackett (Bernice) and numerous nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by parents Jack and Charlotte and mother-in-law Olive, sister Dorothy, sisters-in-law Doreen, Linda, Babe, brothers-in-law Donald, Vince and Don. Family was Annette’s first and foremost love followed by summers on Manitoulin Island, and winters cheering on her beloved London Knights. She also loved her bingo and the Toronto Blue Jays. Our family wishes to thank the Adult Day Program at McCormick Dementia Services, Dr. Ken Leslie, nurse Ruthann, Dr. Paul Ferner, nurse practitioner Ann and heartfelt thanks to Palliative care nurse Stacey Bergeron who helped our family more than words can say. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Herb Summers officiating. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Annette are asked to consider the Adult Day Program at McCormick Dementia Services.
