Obituary of Karen Elizabeth George Michel

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Karen George Michel of London on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in her 68th year. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd Michel and father Charles George. She will be missed by loving mother F. Elizabeth George, brother Garvey George (Diane) and sister Melanie George Sprague (Paul). She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended families. Karen graduated as a Registered Nurse from Victoria Hospital class of 1970. She continued her education with Bachelor of Science and Masters in Nursing at University of Western Ontario. She enjoyed a long and meaningful career until her retirement as a Professor at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing. Throughout her life, Karen was a strong, loyal and giving person who enriched the lives of many as a caring daughter, sister, friend, nurse and educator. Private family service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017. In memory of Karen, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Nurses Foundation.
