Obituary of Doug Moore

At Victoria Hospital, on Thursday, March 30th, 2017, with family at his side, Mr. Doug Moore, of London, in his 78th year. Beloved husband and best friend for over 53 years to Jane (Connolly) Moore. Loving Dad of Julie (Tom) Blake, Steve (Jennifer) Moore, all of London, and Tim (Stephanie) Moore, of Toronto. ‘Papa Dougie’ to Matthew, Owen, Wyatt, Stella and Sam. Missed also by his sister-in-law Elizabeth Connolly, of Hermosa Beach, CA. Predeceased by his brothers, Don and Ross, and by his sister, Kathryn Chaplow. Doug enjoyed building a printing business and working for 38 years at M&T insta-print Ltd. He will be missed by many friends at Highland Country Club where he was a member for over 40 years. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at LHSC (Victoria Campus) as well as the Kidney Clinic at Westmount Mall. Visitation will take place on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Doug are asked to consider LHSC’s Regional Renal Program.
