Obituary of Bonnie Burnard

Bonnie Burnard 1945 - 2017 On Saturday, March 4th, 2017, Bonita Amelia Burnard (née Huctwith), at University Hospital, London, ON, after complications due to illness. Deeply loved and already sorely missed by her children D'Arcy (Ivan) Perkovic, Melanie (Lloyd) Mills, and David Burnard. Cherished Grandmother to Emma, Brandon, Alex, and Daniel. Bonnie was a ferociously loving and loyal mother. Dearly loved by her brothers and their children, beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A celebrated and award-winning author, Bonnie also leaves behind a close circle of lifelong friends and colleagues, both within and outside of the literary community across Canada. A reception to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held on Friday, March 10th, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. A private family service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Canadian Lung Association or to the charity of your choice.
