Obituary of Joyce Eveline Bell

Peacefully and with her loving family by her side, Joyce Bell slipped away from this world on Thursday, January 26th, 2017, at Country Terrace Nursing Home in Komoka. Predeceased by her parents John and Frances Drury, her husband Douglas (1972) and her son John (2011). Joyce is survived by her son Robert and his wife Linda, as well as John’s son, Nathan Drew. Joyce was born in 1923 in Toronto. Her best memories involved her family’s summer vacations when she could canoe and explore to her heart’s content. She and Doug were married in 1946 and Joyce left the Toronto Dominion bank the next year to look after John and then Robert. When they were grown, Joyce enjoyed playing golf, knitting baby clothes for donation, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as anything to do with her garden. Until we meet again. No doubt you’re already in a canoe, paddle in hand, enjoying the peace and quiet. Cremation arrangements have been made by WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. There will be no service or visitation as Joyce hated being the centre of attention. Many thanks to the staff at Country Terrace for their endless care and consideration for Joyce.
