Obituary of Egidio Casavecchia

Our beloved father, Egidio Casavecchia, passed away peacefully at University Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2017, in his 88th year surrounded by love with his children Cristina, Gina and Tino (Sheryl) at his side. He was a most loving Nonno to Jessica (Marc), Paolo, Matthew, Marco (Megan), Vanessa (Adam) and Luca; a proud Bisnonno to Enzo and Demari; a kind brother to Iolanda, Igino, Cesare (Italy) and Vincenzo (London, Ontario); a generous father-in-law, Zio and Cugino; who has now joined his predeceased father (Paolo) and mother (Eclantina) in everlasting peace. We will miss him greatly and cherish all the wonderful memories and life values he bestowed upon us. A private family entombment at St. Peter’s Mausoleum has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Donations in Egidio’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex would be appreciated. A special “thank you” to our mother, Barbara, for the care she provided to Papa. We will always be grateful to her.
