Obituary of Norma Marguerite Baskett (née Gregg)

On Saturday, December 3, 2016, Norma passed away peacefully at her home with her beloved husband, Ivan, of 74 years, by her side. Dear mother of Brian and Anne. Cherished grandmother of John (Julie Anne), Eric (Shirlyn), Heather (Stephan), Kurt and Brad (Melissa). Great-grandmother of Johanna, Jillian, Ethan and Aubrey. Remembered by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Archie and Millie Gregg and by her sister Gene (Geordie) Connor. “Adopted” Grandma to many. Formerly of Salford, Norma was a member of Colborne/Empress United Church and Woodstock Eastern Star. Over her 96 years, she made many friendships as an active square dancer and civil servant. A heartfelt “thank you” to the many individuals involved in Norma’s well-being over the past few years. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend David Carrothers officiating. Donations in Norma’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to another charity of your preference.
