Obituary of Sharon (Gerarda Francisca) Czikk (née Van Bussel)

Peacefully on Thursday, September 8th, 2016 at the McCormick Home in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Joe Czikk. Loving mother of Marie Julianna Czikk (Steve Hart), John Joseph Czikk (Noor Ladhani) and Julie Elisabeth Todd (Steve). Dear Oma of Preston Gregory Todd and step-grandmother of Zoe and Zachary Hart. Dear sister of Tina Van Boxmeer (Harry), Mary Tenkate (John), Joanne Smulders (Tony), Jim Van Bussel (Cathy), Elizabeth Roestenberg (Jeff), Helmi Kaufmann (John) and Helen McHenry (Brian). Dear sister-in-law to Wilma Van Bussel, Bernie Van Bussel and Cathy Van Bussel. Cherished daughter-in-law to Julianna Czikk. Predeceased by her parents Gerarda Maria and Franciscus Hubertus Van Bussel; brothers Gerry, Jack and Christian; sister Catherine and brother-in-law Gerry. Sharon will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Sharon graduated from nursing school in 1968 and subsequently went to King’s College (UWO) where she graduated with a degree in social work in 1973. Sharon loved learning, receiving her Master of Social Work in 1993 followed by a certificate in Individual Psychotherapy Counselling from Smith College. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London, on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
