Obituary of John Rendl

Peacefully and quietly on Monday, July 25th, 2016, John Rendl of London, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Anni (née Englert). Loving father of Lisa Goodwin (Rob) and Jon Rendl. Dear brother of Kay Knab. Proud and loving grandfather of Kyle and Heather Goodwin, and Jessie Rendl. John was born in former Yugoslavia and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Once he completed school, he proceeded to make his mark on life. Most of John’s career was spent in the telecommunications industry and he retired from Bell Canada in 1990. John enjoyed many sports, particularly golf, soccer and hockey, where he made many lasting friendships. The family would like to thank Dr. E. Yu, Dr. E. Frechette, Dr. J. Megyesi and Dr. S. Kuruvilla and their teams at L.H.S.C. Also, thank you to Dr. M. Butchey, Dr. Khan and the entire team at the C.C.A.C. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, August 5th, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 2:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program.
