Obituary of Ralph Schlup

SCHLUP, Ralph March 1, 1953 - June 11, 2016 With heavy hearts we announce the death of Ralph Schlup. Dear son of Trudy Schlup of London, brother of Doris Staub and Fredy of Flaach, Switzerland, brother-in-law of Sharon Schlup of Woodstock, uncle of Marisa and Melanie Staub, Laura and Marco Koster and great-uncle to Maximilian and Julia all of Switzerland. Predeceased by his brother Beat Schlup (2003) and by his father Erwin Schlup (2009). Ralph worked at GM in London and Woodstock for many years, where he was known to some as Helmut. He was a successful arm-wrestler, talented woodcarver and a lover of horses. Unfortunately he chose to be alone and cut off ties to many friends as well as family over the last 3 years. We will keep him in our memories as the happy-go-lucky fellow we remember. We would like to thank his dear friends, Kim and Clarky, as well as his kind neighbours who helped whenever they could. At Ralph's request, there will be no memorial service or interment. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ralph are asked to consider the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
