Obituary of William John Tarvit

Passed away peacefully at Highview Residences on Monday, May 30, 2016, in his 86th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Grace Marie (2006). Devoted father to Brian and Cathy Tarvit and Barb and Andy Stevens. He will be greatly missed by his sister Patricia Barker of Simcoe. Adored grandfather of Adam (Lindsay), Ryan (Jenna), Heather, Derek (Alex) and Brodie (Danielle). Great-grandfather to Cohen, Quinn, Grace and Harrison. Bill was a successful businessman at D.H. Howden & Co. for many years and owner of Westmount Pro Hardware before his retirement. He was also a longtime member of Highland Country Golf Club. The family would like to thank the amazing staff of Highview Residences for their care and compassion the past 4 ½ years. Private family interment has taken place at Woodland Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at RiverBend Golf Community, 1200 Sandy Somerville Drive, London, on Sunday, June 12th, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bill are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.
