Obituary of Florence Beatrice Dahl

Peacefully at Kensington Village Nursing Home, London, on Monday, March 28th, 2016, Betty Dahl of London at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Alexander “Bud” Dahl. Loving mother of Raymond Dahl (late Ann), Sharron Bearfoot (late Bill), Kathryn Weido, Alexander Dahl, Geoffrey Dahl and Christiaan Dahl. Adored Gramma to 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Fondly remembered by sisters Olive Getsinger and Louise Vernile. Daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Lucas. Predeceased by sisters Helen Harpur, Joan Appleby and by sister-in-law Anna Dahl. Betty enjoyed children, music, reading and writing poetry. Special thanks to Dr. Whynot and the devoted, compassionate staff at Kensington Village. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Friday, April 1st, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Betty are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Diabetes Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
