Obituary of Betty Freebairn

Passed away peacefully at Mount Hope Long Term Care on Tuesday, February 16th, 2016, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Freebairn (2005). Loving mother of Keith (Cathy) of London, Ken (Noreen) of Baltimore, MD, and Diane Lovie (late Gary) of Exeter. Dear grandma to 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Shirley Simard of Windsor. Predeceased by her sisters Marion Wilson, Flora Stout, Violet Nantais, Eleanor Menard and Florence Round. A private family interment of ashes will take place at Woodland Cemetery. When mom lived in Byron, she went to Tim Horton’s daily so, in lieu of donations, meet a friend at “Timmys”, order a Boston Cream donut (her favourite) and remember the Betty you knew, not the one so changed by Alzheimer’s. We love and miss her but are grateful that she is at peace now. Thank you to everyone at Ashwood Manor and Mount Hope who cared for mom and to Ruby Kirkpatrick for being her best friend.
