Obituary of William Mowbray Sifton

With family by his side, at Highview Residences on Sunday, December 6, 2015, Mr. William Mowbray “Mow” Sifton, of London, in his 92nd year. Husband of the late Doris (née Flanagan) Sifton (2013). Loving Dad of Glen Sifton (Donna), Sherene Davidson (John), Carol Robertson (Doug), Paul Sifton and Richard Sifton (Sandy). Proud Grandpa of Karen, Tyler, Tim, Geordan, Matthew, Michael, Melinda, Sarah, Victoria and Cameron; and Great-Grandpa of Jasmine, Jayme and Beatrice. Predeceased by his sister Betty Mustard, and grandson Jesse Davidson (2009). Mowbray, as the President and Chairman of Sifton Properties, played a significant role in the development of London and area, in particular the Oakridge, Westmount and Berkshire communities. He was passionate about giving back to the community and was the founder of the Sifton Family Foundation. Mow had a long and productive life and will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. A private family service will be held, with the Rev’d Canon Dr. Kevin George officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mow may be made to Jesse’s Journey or the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex.
