Obituary of Bob Broderick
Unexpectedly, in the early hours of October 30, 2015, Bob Broderick passed away in the comfort of his home in Old South. Bob was born March 2, 1945 in St. Catharines, Ontario and raised in Exeter, Ontario and was the loving son of Harold and Helen Broderick. As soon as he was able, Bob moved to the big city to study hair dressing, an art he mastered and continued to perform until his retirement in 2010. Bob opened his first salon in the late ‘60s and was very proud of his vast clientele of business leaders, politicians, members of the local media and most importantly, his friends, their children and grandchildren. When Bob’s name is mentioned in conversation around London, it doesn’t take very long for someone to raise their hand and claim themselves as one of his many satisfied customers from over the years. Bob will be dearly missed by the love of his life, Debbie Broderick, his daughters, Aimee Wilson and Leslee Miller, and son D.J. Williams as well as his grandchildren Nolan Miller and Jake and Jolee Wilson who he was very proud to be known as “Bobpa” to. He will also be remembered as a wonderful and supportive father-in-law to Rod Miller, Tim Wilson and Natalie Williams. Bob and Debbie were blessed with many life-long friends in London and around the world who influenced their lives and the family would like to offer special thanks to Joan McNaughton, Jocelyn Sears and Carole Richardson who have provided immediate support, encouragement and love during this difficult time. A “Celebration of Bob’s Life” will be held on Friday, November 6th, 2015 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at HIGHLAND COUNTRY CLUB, 1922 Highland Heights, London where Debbie and Bob spent many years making memories on and off the golf course. Friends are encouraged to join the family to reminisce and share stories about a class act and a gentleman who made us all look good! Those wishing to make a donation in Bob’s memory are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.
