Obituary of Garrett Jonathan Miholics

At the age of 22, died as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in the early morning hours of Sunday October 18th. He was born on October 17, 1993 in London, the son of Frank and Heidi (Anschuetz) Miholics. He attended Clara Brenton Elementary school and graduated from Oakridge Secondary School in 2012. He was currently enrolled at Fanshawe College in the automotive technician program. Garrett was a long-time member of the 2nd London Scout Troop, ultimately giving back to the troop as a scout leader. Garrett is predeceased by his infant brother, Devon. Also predeceased by his aunt Maria Leger. He is survived by his parents Frank and Heidi and his brother Julian, all of London. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Dorothea Anschuetz, of Owen Sound; and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Miholics of Kitchener. He is also survived by his two cousins, Elizabeth and Andrew Anschuetz, his aunt Sandra (Anschuetz) and husband Randy Hessey, uncle Steve (Anschuetz) and partner Michele Fuller, uncle Bernard (Anschuetz) and wife Susanne Ansaldo. He will be missed by his beloved dog Sophie. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Garrett are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
