Obituary of Donald Andrew Black

Of Port Lambton and formerly of London, died peacefully at Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the age of 85. Don is the son of the late John Andrew and Harriet (Bradshaw) Black. Beloved husband of Jane Woolfrey-Black. Loved father of John (Barb), Steven and the late Jeffrey Black (2006). Dear grandfather of Jonathan, Jennie, Jessica and Jamieson. Brother of Kenneth Eliot and the late Roy, Doug and Dorothy Black. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and his faithful dog Scali. Don had retired from E.D. Smith Foods and Daytripper Newspaper. He was an avid golfer, curler and he loved horses. Don was a passionate volunteer at SARI (Special Ability Riding Institution) and with Jesse's Journey. A memorial service for friends and family will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment of ashes at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Don are asked to consider S.A.R.I.
