Obituary of Margaret Murphy (née Grant)

Of London, and formerly of Kincardine, passed away peacefully at Country Terrace Nursing Home, Komoka, on Friday, May 8th, 2015. Margaret was born in Scotland in 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1967. Beloved wife of the late James F. Murphy. Loving mother of David Auld (Susan Hagg), of Edmonton, and the late Alan and Stewart Auld. Dear step-mother of Cathy Murphy and Sean (Sharon) Murphy. Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Grant (Kelsey), Iain (Aimee), Nick (Kass), Neil Auld, Alec Murphy and Donny Johnson, Jr., and several great-grandchildren. Much loved sister of Wilma Mack of Dollar, Scotland. She will be fondly remembered by her good friend Sandy Donaldson as well as other caregivers from ‘We Care’. A memorial service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Margaret are asked to consider Parkinson Society Canada or The Salvation Army.
