Obituary of William James Fanning

It is with profound sadness that Maria, Cynthia and Frank Malandra-Fanning inform those they know and love, that their beloved husband and father, Jim Fanning, has departed this world. On April 25th, 2015, in his 88th year, Gentleman Jim Fanning was called Home by his God, whom Jim loved and walked with for over 80 years. This wonderful man was a treasure to his children who he loved and adored, supported, instructed, challenged, and praised…continuously. Cynthia and Frank kept Jim young. They brought into Jim’s life an insurmountable joy. Married to Marie, this year being their 30th wedding anniversary, they were a loving May/September couple whom God joined. Marie and Jim knew each other for almost 40 years, meeting in 1976, and marrying in 1985. Their love for each other remained constant and true. We will miss our wonderful husband and father, but oh, what a joy it was to love him! We will never stop thanking God for the love He allowed us to share with Jim. “Only time separates us, Jim: we shall see each other again.” A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 24th, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Compass Community Church, 345 Pond Mills Road, London.
