Obituary of Gerald Valk

September 25, 1939 – April 25, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gerald (Jerry) Valk, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, in his 76th year, at his home in London. Beloved husband and soul mate of Edna (née Colford) for 42 years. Treasured father of Bill (Sue) Valk and Jennifer (Todd) Valk Caslick, and wonderful “Papa” of Ryan and Kayla. Brother of Father James Valk, Carol (Allan) Morris, Robert (Linda) Valk, Mary (Frank) Abram and Patricia (Hans) Engelhardt. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Madeline and William Valk and grandson Benjamin Caslick. Family and friends may gather on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 8:30 p.m., at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where a service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be conducted on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Province House Inc. (Christian Brothers / Bill Colford African Program): an organization that was very close to Jerry’s heart.
