As a young woman she enjoyed the dances at Port Stanley and listening to the great Big Bands of the day. Ruth first married Jack Clayton, but later met and married Robert “Bob” Livingston. Bob and Ruth enjoyed many wonderful years in Toronto and London, Ontario, and winters in Florida. They were also very active with the Navy Reunions and all aspects of War Veterans activities. Ruth enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching Toronto Blue Jays baseball games and London Knights hockey games. She was a much loved central figure in the lives of all her nieces and nephews, and helped keep them and their extended families connected to one another.
