Obituary of Geraldine Lillian Annie McBride

At Westmount Gardens, London, on Monday, December 8th, 2014, Geraldine Lillian Annie (Dudney) McBride, of London, three weeks shy of her 98th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Cowan McBride (1984), their infant daughter (1942), and her parents George and Florence Dudney. Beloved mother of Janet Young and husband John, Margaret Goulet and husband Claude, and Diana Foster and husband Brian. Loving Grandmother of Jason Young and wife Suzanne, Jennifer Young, Michael Goulet and partner Robert, Mark Goulet and wife Alissa, the late Joseph Foster (2013), Briana Foster, Thomas Foster, and Bailey Grace Foster. Also survived by three great-granddaughters: Della and Charli Goulet, and Addison Young, and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Mae Docksey, Mercia Dow, Mary Dudney, Dorothy Moore, Beatrice Wilcox-Toth, Verlyn Wilcox and Edith Bayliss, and by brothers Harry Dudney and Jack Dudney. Special thanks to Dr. David Birch, the wonderful Apple Blossom staff at Westmount Gardens and all other staff who have cared for Geraldine over the past seven years. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, December 11th, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 12th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Geraldine had requested that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada, the “Special Olympics Alberta” program in St. Albert or to a charity of your choice.
