Obituary of William 'Bill' Formanek

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at University Hospital on Saturday, September 6th, 2014, William “Bill” Formanek, of London, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Lillian Formanek for 53 years. Loving father of Richard and Robert. Dear brother of Emily (the late John – 1986) Hulaj. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Ann (the late George – 2000) Knotek and the late Gerry Authier (2013) and her husband John. Cherished uncle of Linda (Paul), Jane (Cam) and the late John Hulaj, Jr. (1975). Survived by many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Hedviga Formanek. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staffs in the Palliative Care Units at both University Hospital and Parkwood Hospital (4B West and 5B South) for their kindness and care. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. PETER’S BASILICA, 196 Dufferin Avenue, London, on Thursday, September 11th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
