Obituary of Olga Badiuk (née Sapach)

After a long, love-filled life of 90 years, Olga Badiuk passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Predeceased by her beloved husband George Badiuk (1996). Olga was a loving and nurturing Mother to her children Lynda Baiano and husband Mike, of Fonthill, Susan Bierbaum and husband Bernie, of London, and Randy Badiuk and wife Elaine, of London. Loved and sadly missed by six grandchildren: Marcus Baiano and wife Nicole; Aaron Baiano and Jordin Wiggins; Colin Bierbaum and wife Elizabeth; Jaclyn Pisarczyk and husband Michael; Scott Badiuk; and Stacey Fakir and husband Hatim. Olga will always be remembered to her two great-grandsons Ryan Baiano and Ali Fakir. Surviving is sister Helen Stecky, of Kenora, sister-in-law Olga Badiuk, of Chatham, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings William, Michael, Mary and Ann. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 18th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. The family extends their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Byron Neighbourhood at the Village of Glendale Crossing who showed affection and compassion in their care for Olga. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Olga are asked to consider the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario. As Olga once again is in her husband’s embrace, may God grant her eternal rest.
