Obituary of Patrick J. Hartney

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, August 10, 2014 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Jackie for 53 years. Loving father of Patricia Moross, Joseph (Robyn), Sheryl Shantz (Clare) and Sean (Barbara). Proud Grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Rita Dodkin and Rosmarie Lassaline. Predeceased by his brother Tom, and his sisters Marilyn Meadows and Patricia Pasek. Pat was a past Grand Knight and Navigator of the Knights of Columbus Council 6246 and was a member of the Legion – Victory Branch. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., with a Legion Service at 6:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. JOHN THE DIVINE PARISH, 390 Base Line Road West, London, on Thursday, August 14th, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation with inurnment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pat are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre (Soup Kitchen).
