Obituary of Kathleen Sheppard

At Chelsey Park Long Term Care on Monday, June 16, 2014, Kathleen Sheppard (née Symonds) in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Bryan William Sheppard (2007). Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Susan and Chris Arscott and Hilary and Scott Cornish. Loving grandmother of Laura Cornish (Ben Featherstone), John Arscott, Claire Arscott (Matthew Leduc) and Adam Cornish (Laura). Proud great grandmother of Simon and Maeve Featherstone and Claudia, Annabelle, Lyla and Zoe Cornish. Dear sister of Ken and Gunvor Symonds and John and Beryl Symonds, all in England, and the late Doug and Sue Symonds. Kathleen cherished her family and friends, and was always happiest when she was in their company. The table overflowed with food and she loved to entertain. Kathleen was an accomplished knitter and needlepointer and her “green thumb” was legendary. She was loved and she will be missed. Susan and Hilary would like to express their thanks to the community of Chelsey Park, and especially all those on the third floor LTC for their loving care and kindness to Mum which will never be forgotten. It warmed our hearts to see how well Mum was treated. The funeral service will be conducted at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation and interment of ashes, Woodland Cemetery.
