Obituary of Roger Treston Macaulay

Peacefully at peopleCare Oakcrossing, London, on Sunday, May 18th, 2014, Roger Treston Macaulay in his 93rd year. Predeceased by Betty, his cherished wife of 66 years. Proud father of Peter (Jan), Dan, Jeff (Lorna) and Tom (Lana). Loved by his grandchildren, John (Amy), Bryan (Devon), Suzanne, Eric, Dylan, Sarah, Rachel, Megan, Derek and great-grandsons, Liam and Jack. Predeceased by his brother, Brenden and his sister, Lois Mosey (Fred) and survived by his beloved sister, Muriel Field (Tom). Roger was a well known and respected teacher, coach, inspector, principal and London Board of Education superintendent. After retiring from the Board, he managed Over 55, a non profit organization whose goal is to assist older men and women to find employment. Many thanks to the staff of peopleCare Oakcrossing for their compassionate care for Roger over the past two years. Visitation will be held at Oakridge Presbyterian Church, 970 Oxford Street, West, London, on Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at Oakridge Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, June 11th, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Roger are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society.
