Obituary of Giulia Fonseca

FONSECA (née Christiano): Giulia October 13, 1933 – April 27, 2014 With deepest sorrow, our mother Giulia quietly passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014. She is predeceased by her husband Girolamo “Gerry” of 59 years, 4 months earlier. Giulia is survived by her three children: Vito (Angela) Fonseca, Anthony (Tammy) Fonseca and Maria (Claudio) Elia and her nine grandchildren: Anthony (Laura), Nancy, Robert, Brandon, Alexandria, Natalie, Marco, Andrew and Grace. As well as her three great grandchildren: Emma, Brielle and Bentley. Dear sister of Giuseppe, Giovanni, Incoronata, and Mauro of Italy/Switzerland. Giulia emigrated from Italy to join Gerry in Canada in 1954 and dedicated her life to her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm (prayers at 7:00 pm) at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 3 at 10:30 am. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Children’s Health Foundation - registration #11885-2482 RR0001.
